This is the final step to complete your qualification as a United States Department of Transportation Substance Abuse Professional. Your exam will be physically mailed to you, so please provide your full mailing address when prompted and allow for up to 2 weeks for the exam to arrive when scheduling your exam. (For example, if scheduling today - choose the next available date that is beyond 2 weeks away from todays date. Exams are held every 4 weeks.) DO NOT OPEN THE ENVELOPE UNTIL THE EXAM BEGINS AND YOU ARE PROMPTED TO DO SO ON THE VIDEO MEETING. A $50 FEE IS APPLIED FOR RESENDING AND RESCHEDULING. Before you take this examination you must meet the following requirements: To Qualify as a SAP, you must have one of the following credentials: -Licensed Physician (Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy) -Licensed or Certified Psychologist -Licensed or Certified Social Worker -Licensed or Certified Employee Assistance Professional -Licensed or Certified Marriage and Family Therapist -Drug and Alcohol Counselor Lcensed or Certified by either IC&RC, NAADAC, or NBCC If you meet those requirements, you must then complete a 12 CEU DOT SAP course. Professional Training Center offers a live training event and a home study course. These meet the requirements for qualification.
